Further Info:

Disclaimer: Star Wars is owned by Lucas film, and does not belong to me.

Please Note -- a knowledge of Star Wars is NOT necessary in order to participate in this role-play.  I am willing to explain anything that you need to know to you in order for you to play a particular character.

At was writing a Star Wars AU fanfiction several years ago on other sites.  In this fanfiction, I had various Star Wars characters write to other characters -- explaining to other characters what is going on in the story.  The result of this is that a fanfiction is written from the perspectives of the characters, while they interact with each other.   The story begins before The Phantom Menace and will go all the way up through Return of the Jedi.  Right now, the story is almost at the end of The Phantom Menace.  That is where I had to stop because of time contraints from school and other things.  However, I decided to start it up again.   I need characters.  These Notes will be posted in their own community, and also on a proboards forum.

For those who participate, you get to pretend to be a character and have influence on other characters, as well as the overall story.  There are boundaries, though.

The reason that this fan fiction will be classified as AU is because, while generally following the story line of the movies, there are certain points that will be different.  Also, there are additional characters and events.  There are also questions that are answered in this fanfiction that are not covered in the movie.   (Like how and why did Dooku become a Sith, what was Palpatine doing behind the scenes that caused everything to happen the way that it did, what would happen if Anakin was really able to free his mother, just how deep was the love between Anakin and Padme and how did it develop, etc.)

This fan fiction will take you through the events of the movies, and you will get to see these events through various different characters' eyes.

I will not post the fanficiton to this group unless the group owner specifically wants me to.

If interested in participating, please either reply to this or send me a private message.  (A private message would probably be better.  That way I see it for sure).

9:55 pm - The Christensen Sins (4/7) Part 4: Disillusion

Title: The Christensen Sins (4/7) Part 4: Disillusion
Author: ladypadawan
Pairings: Hayden/Ewan, hints of Hayden/Ian and Ewan/mystery person
Rating: Pg-13. Will go up in later chapters
Timeframe: AU: Life as a House was either done a year or two earlier, or AotC was filmed a year or two later.
Summary: Based off whitedestiny1x2's plot bunny. AUandRPS. Ewan and Hayden don't meet on Star Wars, to put simply.
Disclaimer: None of the four mentioned actors are mine, sadly. If they were, would I really be sitting here alone at almost 10 on a Saturday night?
Author's notes: Beta'd by the lovely whitedestiny1x2.

7:45 pm - The Christensen Sins 3/7: Temptation

Title: The Christensen Sins
Part 3: Temptation
Rating: Heavy PG-13 to light R
Pairings: Ewan/Hayden, Implied Hayden/Ian
A.N: Yeah, this is where it's screwed up, so either push TPM back a year and push Life as a house forwards a year. Don't know anything about the time of premieres and shite. And I know Christian Bale wasn't in Rules of Attraction, but work with me here. And yes, I know the point of view has changed. Love, as always, to whitedestiny1x2

Chapter 1: Perfection
Chapter 2: Apprehension

8:36 pm - Fic: The Christensen Sins

Title: The Christensen Sins (1/7) Part 1: Perfection

Author: ladypadawan

Pairings: Hayden/Ewan at the moment

Rating: Pg-13. Will go up in later chapters

Timeframe: I dunno, it kinda got screwed up along the way. Let's just say that Life as a House was either done a year or two earlier, or AotC was filmed a year or two later. It's AU, doesn't have to be correct

Summary: Based off whitedestiny1x2's plot bunny. AUandRPS. Ewan and Hayden don't meet on Star Wars, to put simply.

Disclaimer: I own nothing. Yadda yadda yadda, on with it.

Author's notes: Beta'd by the lovely whitedestiny1x2. Yeah, so. Here's how it works. First two chapters are just gonna set it up. All the good stuff happens later on. So the this and the next chapter are gonna be short.

7:47 am - Anti Star-Wars Movement

Hello, I'm Howard Tuttleman. I'm from Detroit and I'm looking for like-minded people to boycott the Star-Wars movies. If I've got you, go to my web-site for more info http://www.howardtuttleman.com
For the rest of you, please just read on. This will make sense in the end and I'm sure you will agree.
You are probably ready to jump down my throat, so just calm down. I am pretty mad right now too. You see, when I was younger I never happened to catch The Star Wars like so many of you did. Sure, I was aware of it quite a bit, and had heard OF it a lot. As a kid there were plenty of times when bullys would punish me whith wiffle-bats that they pretended were light-sabers, and I would always get drafted to play a Speeder-biker or an Ewok when everyone else got to be main-characters. Obviously these things left a bad taste in my mouth about the Star Wars. I started getting my parents to buy me the action-figures and vehicles, and that brought plenty of kids over to my house, and people THOUGHT I had seen it because I had quite a collection.

So when I finally saw some of the novels at the library, I gave-in and picked up the first in the series. It completely captivated me and made me realize exactly what was going on, and I didn't even HAVE to see the movie. I moved on to the next 2 books shortly after, and now reading them has become a yearly tradition for me. I was enthralled by the Socio-Political struggles and the in-depth character building so much in fact that I began to realize something. That something truly this special would be significantly weakened by condensing them into 3 ridiculously short Hollywood-style movies. The concept of these movies is just laughable to me that they would even TRY something like this. I therefore established "The Star Wars Movie Boycott Movement".

You see, when I read the novels I have very vivid pictures of what certain space-ships, monsters or planets look like, and the best part is that I can imagine whatever actors I want playing the main-characters. I obviously imagine myself as Luke because I feel that I really capture the character well (especially in the 3rd book). My best picks for the other characters is how I visualize Han-Solo as being Patrick Swayze. He has that dashing charisma that the character MUST have. I imagine Darth-Vader's voice as this guy Lance I know who is a real bully-type just like the character. Another one I have is harder to explain but I will try. I chose my dog Morris to be Chewbacca, but now he is 8 feet tall and can stand on 2 legs. If an element of the story is too hard to imagine, that is the ONLY time I will accept an out-side influence and refer to my action-figures.

Do you see what I'm doing here? I am able to personalize the story, whereas you can only imagine it how the movie tells you it is. I can now enjoy the story far more, and on so many more levels than you can. In conclusion, I know that quite a few of you have seen these movies, so I guess it's too late for you to imagine what is actually possible. The people I am trying to get through to are the innocents that whose minds are blank at the moment like mine is lucky to still be. The answer is NO. Buy the books instead, and save yourself a ton of money in the proccess, and imagine it how YOU want to. Not greedy Hollywood movie-makers.

5:35 pm - Question

Alright, this is several little questions relating to the other

How old was Mark Hamill when filming STARTED for each three movies. I know the movies weren't released until '77, '80, and '83, but filming happened before they were released, right?
Ditto for Harrison Ford
Ditto for Hayden Christensen for ep's II and III
Ditto for Ewan McGregor

Thanks much!

12:17 am - Lightsaber

This guy on IMDB.com made it. This would be my lightsaber. Since I like being neutral, mine would be a double-blade and one side green, other red. I would only fight with one side open only. It depends on whom I'm fighting for which colour would be out. ;) Only very rare would I ever fight with both colours. ^.^

i recall my last quiz met with some approval and support around here, so i decided to bring y'all my new one :) probably not as interesting as the last, but some of you may find it cool.

I'd agree with the Boston Globe

"Even a doubter has to admit that on any terms 'Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith' is the real deal, an often awkward but nonetheless terrifically compelling high-stakes human drama."

"But I'll go on record as saying that it is, without question, the most emotionally powerful of the six."

"Some may ascribe the improvement to the uncredited assistance of playwright Tom Stoppard, who helped Lucas out with the script."

"With this film he makes amends, and in the process brings not only the biggest film series of all storming to an end but gives closure to a transformative mass-culture experience."

"George Lucas may still not understand the mysterious wiring of the human soul, but he knows the angry, idealistic dissatisfaction with life that drives us to make up legends in the first place."

What Star Wars Episode III review would you agree with?

as always, please post the results in your journal so the quiz can spread around :)

I was a huge Star Wars geek from 1995-1999, and when I saw Episode One, it kind of killed over my obsession. I'm not going to bash the new trilogy (especially since I only saw the two new episodes once each) since I don't know too much about them, but it's just to let you know that I've been out of the SW loop for a while. But early this year when I played Knights of the Old Republic, it kicked up my fanboydom and I'm back in the series. Something's been bothering me since Episode Two though. What's so special about the lightsabers with the slanted handles? The kind Count Dooku used. I don't know if the newer updated version of the Guide to Technology tells anything about this, but I'd like to know.

Hopefully this community gets more members. It's good to see one dedicated to one of the coolest weapons ever created.
